Katie's Mission
As a candidate for the Loveland School Board, my mission is simple: to put kids first in every decision we make. The future of our community depends on the strength of our schools, and I am committed to ensuring that every child has the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.
I believe in fostering open, transparent, and consistent communication between the school district, parents, and the broader Loveland community. When families and educators are well-informed and actively engaged, we create a stronger, more connected school system that benefits everyone. Our schools are the heartbeat of Loveland and shape the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and citizens.
Above all, I am dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential. By working together, we can build a school system that not only nurtures and educates but also inspires and equips our students with the tools they need for lifelong success.
I am eager to bring a fresh perspective, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to excellence to the Loveland School Board. Let’s work together to ensure the best possible future for our kids and our community.

STUDENT HEALTH & SAFETY
Creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment is paramount for student success. When students feel secure—both physically and emotionally—they are better able to focus on learning, build strong relationships, and grow into confident, capable individuals. Loveland Schools have already made great strides in fostering a positive and protective environment, and as a member of the School Board, I will work tirelessly to build upon that foundation.
With my background in healthcare, I understand the importance of proactive measures in ensuring student well-being. My approach will prioritize both physical safety—maintaining that our school buildings, transportation, and emergency preparedness plans remain up-to-date—and mental health support, recognizing that emotional wellness is just as critical to a child’s development.

SUPPORTING PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality education starting at the preschool and kindergarten level is essential for building a strong foundation for their future. This involves advocating for adequate funding, resources, and teacher support, as well as implementing programs that cater to diverse learning needs. By strengthening public schools, we can provide every student with the opportunity to excel academically, personally, and professionally.
It is also crucial that we be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, safeguarding that every investment in education is both effective and fiscally responsible. Strong schools and financial accountability go hand in hand. That means prioritizing funding for classroom instruction, supporting teachers with the tools they need to succeed, and eliminating wasteful expenditures that do not directly benefit students. By making common sense decisions, we can ensure that Loveland Schools continue to deliver high-quality education while respecting the financial contributions of our community.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Building strong partnerships with families, local organizations, and businesses significantly enhances the overall educational experience for students. These relationships help bridge the gap between the classroom and the broader community, making learning more relevant and impactful. Engaging the community in school activities, decision-making processes, and support initiatives not only fosters a sense of belonging but also cultivates a shared responsibility for student success.
When families and community members feel included and heard, they are more likely to contribute their time, resources, and expertise to support student learning and well-being. Local businesses and organizations can offer valuable mentorship, internships, and real-world learning experiences that prepare students for future careers. By actively involving all stakeholders, we create a collaborative, inclusive environment that enriches educational opportunities and allows us to better address the diverse and unique needs of our student population. This collective effort strengthens the foundation of our schools and helps build a more connected, supportive community for everyone involved.
